I just love newborn sessions!

Each one is unique, and so beautiful in their individual way...it's easy to spend a few hours just staring at them. :)

This is baby J. She was such a pretty little girl, and made me miss having a newborn myself!

Here's to the New Year!

For many of my family, friends, and clients, 2008 was a difficult year. However, I saw (and photographed!) so many joyful and proud moments, too....new babies, birthdays, graduations, grandparents, and a wedding here and there. All these memories that are captured forever, in amongst the uncertainty of the year; worth so much now, and so much more as the time and hardships pass.

These are my kids, on New Years Day 2009. This image was not easily won.....I have a two-year-old comedian who was recovering from pink eye and an ear infection, and was also bringing in molars. Needless to say, there were many outtakes....which I treasure just as much as this one. :)

Here's to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year for all of us, and for all the wonderful moments yet to capture!

Upcoming Special!

Now that the crazy Christmas rush is winding down, I can start thinking into the new year.

As the next few months will still be pretty frigid, I am offering in-studio mini-sessions for 6-12 month olds, at half price, beginning January 5th. 2009.

Included are 10-12 proofs of your baby, along with clothing changes if desired. If you have special needs or have a unique idea, I can work with that.

Special applies to 6-12 month old babies only, in-studio, and does not include family or sibling shots.

One of my very favorite subjects to photograph...newborns!

Usually sleepy, squishy little bundles with zero self-consciousness who have no problem going along with my many ideas!

Here's a recent precious little boy, born days before Halloween.

Beautiful Babies

Although these two were a little apprehensive about me ( like most little ones are about strangers), they couldn't hide just how beautiful they were!
Each had their own unique look, but it was obvious they were brother and sister. I think that is so cool!
We spent one of the last semi-warm mornings together..and here's a little preview.

End of Autumn shoots....

Its getting dark early now, and cold outside! This may well be the end of my outside shoots for the year before next Spring....and it was absolutely beautiful! This blue eyed boy had a lot of patience for me, and it the lighting was perfect.

Although I haven't shot in Royal Oak much lately, I think that I will have to keep it in mind for next year! It is unique, and beautiful, too.

Of course, such handsome boys make it easy.....here's a preview of the many, many images from this session!
